This Privacy Policy describes how Chains of Custody (“we”, “the app”) handles information when you use the iOS application. The app is designed to keep a local custody ledger for sealed items, holds, handoffs, and breach follow-up on your device.
Information we process. Custody records you enter—asset titles, tags, holders, seal codes, location notes, transfer details, hold reasons, and breach notes—are stored on your device so the ledger remains available offline. We do not require an account to use the core ledger features described in the App Store listing.
Device permissions. If a future version requests optional system permissions (for example photo library for attaching a reference image), those requests will appear only when you start the related action. You can deny permissions in iOS Settings; the ledger continues to work without them where possible.
Analytics and advertising. Chains of Custody does not sell personal information. We do not run third-party advertising SDKs inside the ledger experience described here. Aggregate crash or diagnostics data may be processed by Apple if you have enabled system sharing with developers.
Data retention and deletion. Records remain on your device until you delete them in the app or remove the app. Uninstalling Chains of Custody removes locally stored ledger data from that device, subject to normal iOS backup behavior you control.
Children. The app is not directed at children under 13. Do not enter personal information about children into the ledger.
Changes. We may update this policy when features change. The date of the current version is the publish date of this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
